On my D16, I removed the tray as well, so I now use a Mamod spirit burner.

In regards to accessories, Mamod accessories are very nice too. For a prebuilt workshop, Mamod has a nicer one in my opinion.

Plus 1 for Mamod accessories as opposed to Wilesco.
