  You might start with the PM Research catalog.
They have a wide variety of ready-to-run engines.
Perhaps the Solar #7 as it has transparent glass
cylinders - a cool-to-watch runner that makes the
'workings' easier to understand.

  After that...I vote for the #12, a Rider-Ericsson type. 
If you want to make electricity from the sun try the #4.

  Or....you could go after bigger vintage game.  They are
out there.  usually, beaucoup dollars...or euros!
