Good excuse to go to the zoo?
« on: November 25, 2019, 07:45:35 pm »
Found this on Craigslist, within a mile of the MN zoo... asked the wife if she wanted to take the kids to the zoo and stopped there on the way :D

Very clean, and from the original owner, his best guess was he got it in 1964/5

A lovely 25 there Nick, with a copper firebox and chimney, without the dreaded salmon pink problem.

Looks near mint from here!

NICE!!!

NICE!!!

It's as near mint as they come  ;D  Flywheel is the nicest looking example I've had on a 25 (apart from a robin's egg blue one)

Picture was taken in the back of the car, will get some better ones up soon...

Nothing like a family ride that includes a steam engine.

Nice find. I scored a number 10 from it's original owner several years ago and still have it. There was no zoo involved but thinking about it, it was close to home, 20 minutes away which doesn't happen often.
Cheers Bob, I collect mostly German steam stationary engines.
