This one recently followed me home for the second time.

There is a video of this engine that I posted on YouTube 16 years ago. Today I have made a fresh video.

The last custodian, Arthur Dell, added the wood base, reinforced the water pump, and added a nice brass water tank.

Enjoy!

Super Nice one there Gil, very much reminds me of the Solar Engines of Phoenix Arizona #5, a vertical with twin (red) flywheels and a steep pyramidal firebox base.

I recently scored one on evilbay and it arrive just yesterday, coincidently!

While of the same general layout as your amazing Heinrici, the Solar #5 has no pumping feature, but I imagine the model was originally inspired by real engines that did!?!?

Hi Daniel, Now that you have had it for a few days, I have to ask is it a good runner?

I once had one of them that ran good.

Hi Daniel, Now that you have had it for a few days, I have to ask is it a good runner?

I once had one of them that ran good.

DHaven't fired it yet, so don't know how this one is going to run, but the motion feels real good, so I expect it will do well.

Came unfired, missing the burner, so perhaps that is why it has remained a virgin all these years!?!?

I have several burners that will work well with this unit, even the correct one, but I've been giving thought to a small butane burner that I have and think maybe I'll make this one a gas fired Stirling.

Time will tell.
