Two Mamods landed in "The Cave of Woe"
« on: February 24, 2024, 02:17:34 pm »
I always thought these were the best looking Mamods and being the older models,
they don't have the chrome engine cowl. As far as the Delivery Van (DV2)goes, I like
this navy blue with the white top better than the DV1, which is green with a black top.
This one looks like a Paddy Wagon.
Both are unfired with their boxes, funnels, and burner's. I knew they were going to be
kind of big but I didn't know how much until they showed up.
My Wilesco Showman engine was close by for a comparison.

great looking engines/rollers!  I assume you are going to keep them unfired?

Very nice trio there Tommy, I particularly like the double decker bus, I always thought it a really good looking steamer.

Thanks Bruce, the new ones are not as nice. Chrome cowl, wheels are red and silver, and
I don't think they offer the DV2 anymore.

Thanks Nick, it's a lot better than the green DV1 or these offerings.

Have to agree with you Tommy .... those earlier models are definitely far better looking!

Thank you all for the kind words.
Arnold not having to track down parts for a change is a big plus .
