Ind-X Engine Available

There’s an Ind-X engine available on Ebay. It has a cracked flywheel, so it will likely be a machinist’s restoration project.
To me it looks very similar to an early solid flywheel Empire B30.

That looks like a good restoration candidate. It's unusual to have both the IND-X sticker and the City of LA Approved Building and Safety tag (under the end of the boiler). These were made in Los Angeles.

Be prepared to replace the heater on any IndX.
I have had three of them and the heater did not function in any of them.

I had one, it was complete and working. A bit of a rusty tank though. I thought I'd like it but in the end I passed it on to my brother - he likes anything I pass on to him LOL

Base and decal looks to be about as good as I've ever seen. Can't open individual photos to see cracked flywheel, but I'm not seeing it in the first image that does come up. Could be a good deal for someone wanting one of these!
