Daniel, might well be because english is a second language to me, and I do not read it correctly.
To me, it seems like they merely would like pictures of the wrapping being squeezed/damaged, if you suspect anything wrong with the item inside.
To fully document, that is is not the recipient, who has dropped and damaged the goods after unpacking.
In short, if it looks like the package has been run over by a dump truck...
Start photodocumenting as soon as suspicion of potential damage arises.
I rather thought that damage to packaging was fully covered by #1.
Exactly how are you supposed to know if item is possibly damaged unless you unwrap to view item.
Perhaps I'm expecting too much precision and not allowing enough "slack" for a bit of imprecision in usage?!?!
