Jean Schoenner Vertical 165/2
« on: July 27, 2021, 11:34:53 am »
The postman came today - and had a parcel for me!!!
A very nice Schoenner Vertical and a Basset Lowke Live Steam Loko.
Right after taking out off the Box I decided to bring the Schoenner
first to live. There where some small issues but nothing really bad.
Here is the video of the first run and it is a smooth runner. The
Burner has 2 mushroom heads and that is def. too much of fire - so I
replaced one with a .44 Magn. case that fitted perfectly. Enjoy,
Arnold ;D

Love steam engines, especially older German made.  Love the more clockwork style.  Addicted to this stuff!

Just looked at it.

The day could not end more beautifully. ::)  ;D

Couldn't this postmann also come by my house once or twice?
Cheers

I was going to say the same thing! Lately, my postman just brings me bills.  :(

Lovely engine!

That is exceedingly nice and a fine runner as well. I always admire a gear driven water pump.

Wonderful engine. Wish I still had mine which was identical but was sold some 21 years ago. I like the painted "wood" lagging of the cylinder.
