One thing about Esbit tablets is that they will "weaken" over time. Partially due to oxidation of the chemical composition, but mostly due to absorbing water out of the atmosphere. So, while fresh hot tablets will definitely power either or both of those accessories when fired under a Jensen 75, funky old tablets may not do quite so well.

I do have some very old Esbit hanging around here that the last time I used, it worked fine, but then I live in the High Desert where humidity is almost always very low. If you live in a damper, coastal environment, then your mileage may well vary!

You may want to consider using a chafing dish gel like Sterno, as that will work at least as well as Esbit, with a lot less soot and stink!

Oh yeah ...... and WELCOME to the Forum from the cool and dry Eastern Sierra!!!
