I would highly recommend using 2mm polyurethane belting with medium tension. It will not slip on the generator.

It may use tons of steam to power it, as stated with these turbines, but with proper tension you’ll get the generator to fly well. Also, I’d recommend using a E10 LED lightbulb. Order them on Amazon. They’re cheap and put less load on the system.  Can only be turned in one direction however.

Also, perhaps get a pressure guage and set your safety valve to pop around 25-30psi instead of the usual 15-20.
