Jensen smoke stack question.
« on: July 23, 2020, 02:25:05 pm »
I just purchased my first steam engine, a Jensen 65. The seller stated that it was from the 70's. It is in good condition and ran good when I fired it up, it is missing the smoke stack however. Would this have come with a embossed or silver tube type stack. The Jensen web site states the silver tube type is for early model's and the embossed is for late model's. Where is the cutoff between early and late. The firebox and stack support are embossed if that means anything.

Hi Catman, i believe all the #65's would be considered a later model & thus would have the embossed brick chimney, btw I have a #65 due in the mail tomorrow that I'm going to do a bit of modifying to.

Bruce and Gil, thank you both for the replies. Bruce, after seeing your latest 60 and 55 mods, I look forward to seeing what you come up with for the 65 you just purchased.
