Krauss & Mohr (?) Water Elevator
« on: April 27, 2022, 06:16:44 am »
I in York, PA for the semi-annual Train Collector's Association train meet. There are two pre-meet shows at local hotels and the TCA meeting proper starts on Thursday. While this event is primarily focused on trains, related toys including steam toys and small electric motors are traded. Yesterday I just missed purchasing a really beautiful tinplate power house model that incorporates an antique electric motor. :(  :(  :(  There are a few small stationary steam engines for sale. The nicest is a Doll vertical that I might have another look at today if it is still available. I did buy this tinplate dredge or elevator yrsterday. My research seems to indicate it was made by Krauss and Mohr. So I won't be going home empty handed.

Nice purchase Jim , I don't believe I've seen this one before, good luck with the Doll vertical should you decide to pursue it.
