Hi Paul, I'll weigh in here.

Your #55 looks to be from the 1960s. 

All #20s and #55s had a brass tag from the 1940s for the next 20+ years.

All #55s that have brass tags have a re-stamped #20 brass tag.

The reversing gear is from the 1960s forward and is still the same today.

The #55s from inception through the early 1960s had a flat spring in the center for the reversing mechanism.

The lack of a UL sticker doesn't say much other than it wasn't 1940s to 1954.

The base is not considered robins egg blue. It is light blue industrial hammertone paint.

The hourglass handles are from about 1970 forward in various thicknesses. Thinner being earlier.
