ADLER - the first Loco 1835 of Germany
« on: November 23, 2021, 04:32:30 am »
Just arrived - a ADLER Train Gauge 1 with 3 Wagons
Live steam in a nice scale model. I already made
a test run and it was a little bit tricky - but
finally it worked. It has 2 fixed cylinders under
the boiler and they run forward and back. The gas
reservoir is located in the "Coal car".

Try to make a movie the next days.
The Adler was made more than 30 Years ago by a german
company called Metafot Wuppertal. They also made some
very nice steam tractors.
Arnold ;D

Bonjour Arnold;
Nice train indeed, I can't wait to see it run.
Just for information, Metafot is just a dealer, Wuppertal was the manufacturer.
This company also used to sell small reverse turbines from the Japanese company WADA:

Hello Rafael,
Metafot was a manufacturer. The owner was Lutz Hielscher, who later sold the company to produce beautiful steam engine models of his own design in a former small locksmith's shop. Mr Hielscher had to give up this business two or three years ago for health reasons at the age of 80. Both Metafot and the small manufactory were based in Wuppertal, a town in the Bergisches Land, Germany.
Cheers
Jürgen

What an awesome train set Arnold.

Do you have enough track to run it on a loop.
