Microcosm Turbine And Reduction Gear

I really do like Microcosm products . I know that they come from China, but what doesn't ? What we have here is their steam turbine and reduction gear. Here are a few shots including one on the steam plant belted up to the machine shop.

Bonjour,
My experience with this turbine;

Eric has changed the original bearings for ceramic bearings, has removed the back of the turbine to promote the escape of steam and made Venturi cone at the intake:

Raphael,

     While I don't speak French, there is one language we have in common . The language of hobby . That is a really nice setup you have there.

Bonjour D.E.

I fully agree with you and like sharing on my passion and my different discoveries, tests and experiences.

In French, we say that one picture is worth 1000 words, this is why I make (and comment) videos.

I have added subtitles on them, are they visible, even if sometimes "funny" despite the fact I try to speak correctly and slowly ?

I guess I would have a larger public if I would speak English but most of my subscribers just speak ...French.

About this turbine, I would say that Jin made it without knowing what it is and, despite his skillness, if a copy of a steam machine can be done with more or less success, it is impossible for such a technical one.

  I have just been in my shop running my turbine with some success.  It has so little torque that it would power only about half of my little machines . It has done better before, but I think I have too much total belt tension . I has two tight drive belts to contend with , and I am just too lazy to make new longer ones. It is a cool little engine and is interesting to watch it do what it can.
