PM Research #7 engine with #1 boiler - noontime run for fun
« on: February 14, 2025, 12:35:42 pm »
  Good afternoon from Brooklyn, NY

I had a good first steamup of the #7 engine with a #1 boiler.
They both look a run well.  I will be reorganizing the steampipe
assembly in the future.  This boiler ran a #1 engine (too much
engine for this boiler), a #3 (sweet) and this #7.  I also tried
a #5 engine but that was problematic and will get to that in a bit.
This setup also has a ram-pump to feed the boiler while steamed up.
One other point - this boiler is really thirsty and needs plenty of
heat energy.  It definitely needs the 'giddy-up' four-wick burner
running Everclear.

Enjoy the video below...

Happy steaming,
Wayne

Very nice, Wayne..!!!

I always felt the PMR #7 twin was a good value.
They truly are great running engines and the look good too.
