Olde water lifting pump Péricaud ?
« on: May 14, 2021, 12:45:52 pm »
Just won this, I am hopeful it works or that I can get it pumping water. Any guess as to the year built or maker? I thought it looks a lot like Péricaud?

It is Pericault, and it will pump water (as long as the piston/valve is in there).

Nice addition, congratulations Ben!!!

Wow! Great videos guys! It appears mine is the smaller water basin like Jan's.
Txlabman has the swim pool size, seems everything IS bigger in Texas!
What might the approx market value be on my pump?.....I fear I paid to much, but I wanted it something awful bad ;D

Yours have the original basin Ben, the "swim pool" is a mod as far as i can tell :)

Have no idea of exact value these days, but they usually fetch a decent price, as they´re quite popular.

Now i am confused ( as per usual )

Are they Pericaud or Pericault

As i see both names used .

A bit Like Weldon/ Monarch ( a Aussie engine )
And SEL / Merit
But at least Weldon/ Monarch have a difference a Safety Valve

Good catch Ben , I had this on my watch list & told myself (you have a couple of hours till it ends) had I remembered...it may have been coming to St. Paul...lol, happy for you Ben.

I fixed it in my thread title to try keeping confusion to bare minimum...I think I could possibly pronounce Péricaud better any way....lol

Thanks Bruce! you will probably get the next one...Unless it is the "oval tub" variety like one of Jan's....I might have to bid on that to ;D

Hi,
this "POMPE" was sold by PERICAUD Paris/F.
If you see PERICAULT its a misspelling...
Originallly it was offered by PASSEMAN & CIE, Paris/F.

After then PERICAUD & PASSEMAN cooperated and firmed P.P. Paris/F.
You will also find this pump listed in several french warehouse catalogs like Mestre et Blatge, MANUFRANCE, OCEL, Le Samaritaine, Bazar l'Hotel de Ville and others.
