Daniel....Loved your pics! Not only your terrific collection of steam, but all the other interesting collectables as well. You'd never get me out of your place because I'd want to look and talk about each and every piece :)

Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks for the kind words Jim .... but if truth be known .... full disclosure will reveal that most of my engines are actually "displayed" more like this:

I'll post up a few more of my "visible" engines and things a bit later, but my eclectic clutter is certainly no match for your immaculate Steam Room!!!!

Nice one Daniel, I recognize the John Ericsson box and I spy an Empire windmill and pump on the right

Amazing spot on that Empire accessory Nick. Heck, the blades are off of the windmill and hanging about 3/4 of the way down the tower, but the pump is visible so I guess you just put two and two together to come up with the correct answer of 22.

I saw the windmill as well, but was thrown off the scent by the pair of shoes top left :)

So glad I asked for these pics!
Sandy, I have looked over and over your collection...wow! Enjoyed looking at each and every engine and accessory. What a wonderful collection and I bet you enjoy owning them all.The nice Stuart beam on the shelf to the left, what is the black reservoir? that is standing on four (4) brass legs?
Thanks again for sharing your collection :)
The reservoir is simply for water to supply/fill the boiler via a manually operated feedpump which might not be visible in the photo...
In fact the more I study my own photos the more I realise what is NOT stored on those shelves!!!.  All of my steam boat collection plus lots more locos and a few more very nice steam engines. More photos required!

Yes ... one whiff of those would throw anybody off the scent. Worse yet would be the old X-country double ski boots a couple of shelves down!

The only way to solve the work bench problem is to limit yourself to one bench/table. The more you have the more junk you pile up on them  :D

Between Jim's earlier post on the cleanup, and Sandy and Stoker's pics I have some looking to do. The quick glance showed too many items to take in. So many interesting items...

I will have a go at taking a snap of my assortment of castaways and bent-and -dents tomorrow.

This was a great thought, Jim.

Some interesting sights here .
As for mine ? Well it looks like they maybe a shift round with cabinets on the weekend
The one next to my chair in the lounge is too small and the shelves are suffering
800mm wide 6mm thick glass deflecting 2.5 mm due to the heavy weight Aussie engines.

Cheers
