Repaint Frenzy!
« on: November 02, 2024, 10:32:07 pm »
Spent about 5 hours tonight repainting this plant and the accessories so they all match. I couldn’t stand that horrible yellow paint anymore.

Was quite a bit of work but got it done. The glossy paint really to me looks beautiful and Blue is my favorite color.  I did the fly wheel a dark blue with the rest a baby blue.

I hope you guys like it.

I’m letting it fully cure for 24-48 hours before I run it. [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Well thank you. The blue really looked cooler than I expected it to.

Probably need a new crank arm and crank pin… will have to phone Stuart.

Wouldn't stress too much over it yet.

I put a whistle warning valve on the whistle.  When the whistle is cold, I can open the valve just slightly and warm up the whistle without it splashing and blowing water everywhere. Once it’s warm, I open the valve fully. Works well!

More paint updates…. Painted all the globe valves and a few “extras”

Looks wicked in my eyes.
