RETROL SE-03 DIY Steam Engine Model Kit with Generator & Light
This is an absolutely stunningly beautiful vertical boiler steam plant kit. There's a lot to put together and I've literally just opened the box and wanted to show how nice this is before I do a build video and have the engine running. I knew I had to add one of these to my collection as I'm an avid fancier of vertical boilers!

Cheers fella's
I'm a sucker for an upright, there's a LOT of parts and some a bit fiddly so it's going to be a while as I want (need) time to enjoy this build.

All the brass added up as the total weight is just under 3kg.

Also, a very interesting liquid fueled burner.

Stirling Kit has it for $499.  Hmmm.  Verrrrry tempting.
I will need to wait for the review.

Sorry Jim - I realise now that you have been faster than I.
The SE-03 is beautiful and very well done.

I'm getting my value worth with this, there's a lot to put together. They have really got CNC down to an absolute artform, the brass pieces are just beautiful to hold and look over.

EngineDIY has the bundle, this and the workshop at $599, but not knowing the final cost after tariff is keeping me from hitting the buy now button… I see EngineDIY has some items in stock from US warehouses that they specify will ship tax free, so I may have to wait and see if his shows up there soon…

That's good Nick that they have some onshore that are tax free.

I would still buy it with the tariffs, but it’s the fact that I don’t know ahead of time how much it will be… it’s going to be harder to resist the temptation following your updates! The workshop does look good with this engine…
