RW-BL1K Steam Engine Plant | First Live Steam Test

This is the first live steam test of my Rocking Whale RW-BL1K DIY kit build Model Steam Engine that I put together a few days ago.
As others can attest, this is a really really nice steam engine kit!

Oh Man, did that thing ever take off like a rocket, right out of the starting gate!

Seems an incredibly good runner and sounded to be running exactly the same both forward and backward, which is always a very good sign!!

I suspect that would make a speedboat out of most any craft in the meter length size and would really come into its own in something like a heavy displacement tugboat!!!

Impressive!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL as you said Daniel, I wish my horse in the last Melbourne Cup had come out of the starting gate that fast!

Very impressed with this engine.

There was a break in the heat today and I've been working in my shed on a few mods.

I'd recommend considering linkage to the reversing lever and insulation on the throttle valve ..... but maybe that's just me?!?!

I have been thinking of something for the linkage, the valve wheel wasn't really all that hot, just me being a wuss as I sliced both my index fingers a couple of days ago on some burrs on some metal in my lathe.
