Saw this on ebay and thought that it was an interesting and unusual design.

great share.  thanks for making this video.

Love steam engines, especially older German made.  Love the more clockwork style.  Addicted to this stuff!

Enjoyed the video. Marklin used this rotary valve design in one of its toy engines about 100 years ago:

An interesting variation. Markilin appear to have used a separate shaft for the valve driven via gearing from the crankshaft.
I really like the inline flyball governor.
