Spare Weeden Part Bins Swap?
« on: October 21, 2023, 08:29:34 am »
As you guys have seen in my other post about my Brother's Weedens, we are looking for some parts for No.14 and No.60 engines.  In the boxes of stuff that my brother got with all the engines he found some "red bins of parts".  One has two different styles of sight glass fittings with tank threaded bushings and the other has a few cylinder pistons.

Wondering if anyone would be up for some horse trading, two bins of parts (parts1.jpg & parts2.jpg) for a very early Weeden Governor base/topper (want2a/want2b.jpg) and larger style pointy silver sight glass fittings.  For now he using a pair of the smaller pointy fittings for the No.60.  The setup doesn't look horrible and IMO far better than the lower hole being plugged with a blob of solder!  It also seems the larger pointy guys soldered right into the tank (did not screw into a bushings like later models?).

I figure might as well try :-)

Hi Richard, while I don't have any of the parts you are looking for, maybe you have something that I need? I just posted a message regarding a Weeden 34, for which I need part of the steam pipe. One of your photos shows a large pile of elbow pipes that might include one of what I need (??). Please see my post with photos, I might have something you might want to trade for, or I could just pay you. Any help appreciated - Thanks - Greg
