Mrs. RedRyder had been asking for a couple of years for some cabinets to display nice things in our dining room.

This took a while to find the right pieces and the right deal.

The place they are located isn't wide enough for a large hutch and finding a pair of anything used but nice isn't easy.

Finally, on Facebook marketplace I found a couple downsizing for retirement.

They were 3,000 new when they bought them in 1990 and they let us have them for 300 each.

My daughter Michelle's boyfriend has a 14' box truck and we went about 45 minutes away to pick them up.
This part was not easy as they are 82 1/2 inches tall and had to be tilted way over to get out the door and into our place.
We used a hand truck for this and a lot of muscle. These suckers are heavy. Once the cabinets were loaded we stacked the 8 shelves made of 5/16" thick glass onto the hand truc wrapped in a moving blanket and strapped firmly.

Once we set them up Simone cleaned all the glass and filled them.

Here are a couple pictures:

They fit the space well and match the dining room table. I wouldn’t complain about a few steam pieces added in 😂

There's just enough space above them to add a model train on a shelf circling the room.....
