Ok that's it!!!

Ok that's it!!!
I added two brass gate valves today to the copper piping on the door.....anymore weight on the door and I'll have to beef up the hinges!!!!
Machined some brass down to accept the 1/2" copper and its threaded to screw into the gate valves. All the copper and brass has been highly polished and
has had three (3) coats of clear lacquer.

I dunno Jim, I was thinking that a boiler fire box grate "DOOR" would really finish of the bottom part of your door (where there's lots of room still) and look just right in that spot  ;)  :D

such as this one ...

it would also be a great entry/exit door for your little dog, (was it Ellsie?)

I like Bruce's idea to use it for the little one and add, you don't have to open the big door to shovel more crap into the room.

You could always add a smoking unit from an electric toy train to simulate a little bit of steam seepage coming out of those polished copper pipes!!!

Just add a couple more hinges to the door, why stop now!

A fantastic freespace you have created for your self, Jim.
I I did not fear the wife`s reaction,I would have loved to do something steampunk like the cool entrance to my cellar as well ;)
Cheers :-)
