Just noticed that the tarot stirling engine (a beauty) is actually made to JE Howel's plans! you will see the manufacturer even left the hole for the governor! would have liked to see the air cooling fan added to the tarot!

Link to his plans for sale:

Based on how well my tarot runs, I can very highly recommend Mr. Howel's design!!

Thank you for posting this . I am familiar with the  Jerry Howell designs but didn't connect the Tarot with him . I'll definitely get a Tarot now .

The Tarot Stirling engine is a scaled down version of Jerry Howell's design.

That the Tarot runs so well is a testament to it's manufacturer. It is among the best quality pieces at nearly any price.

I have seen examples built by machinists to Jerry's plans that were never able to run. Building these requires precision and skill.

I have also found the Tarot does not need a cooling fan as it's fins shed a lot of heat on their own.

That Chinese Tarot is by far the best bang for the buck that I've ever seen in a new purchase , Gil's right...it doesn't need a cooling fan , but it is kinda cool (no pun intended)
