Unboxing the Jensen #25GR's
« on: October 08, 2021, 04:23:39 pm »
Hello this is Jensen Steam Engines brand new #25GR.

It just arrived today and I'm doing an unboxing for all to see.

Great job Jensen Family, Dorita and Andy!

You produced a beautiful riveted steam engine for the first time in almost 80 years. It is awesome and so are you guys!

Check it out.

Looks great.  Thank you for the Unboxing video

Well I don't have video. Got engine number 7. Haven't run it yet but looks good. The rivets in boiler looks realy nice, smooth black firebox looks good (better then the brick to me). The square throttle valve looks realy nice. Copper stack with Jensen stamped in it looks good. Personally I think letters should have been bigger but still nice. Did notice couple other things I think are different.  I'm not sure haven't realy looked at the new regular 25g. The top of govner is copper and connecting rod bolt is hexed instead of slot. In all looks realy nice. They done a nice job of mixing old and new. And Mr. Wiggles approved it. LOL

Looking good, Randy and Jack...!!!

Congratulations on your newest addition!

Really good to see the retro features finally made it out of the suggestion box.

The requests for the "retro" engines goes back nearly 20 years and thanks to Steve, Andy, and Dorita it is here now...!!!

That's a really nice looking engine, with the plain, black firebox and riveted boiler.  It's great to see Jensen changing things up a bit.

Wow, nicest thing to come out of the Jensen shop since the 95G.  Like many others, the rivets, smooth black firebox, squared throttle valve and hex top banjo screw are all a welcome return to some of Jensen's nicest features of days gone by.  That wood base also looked extra nice.

A homerun!!
