Unknown engine runs from Jensen 30 steam
« on: February 02, 2022, 03:10:53 pm »
Does anyone have a good guess as to the maker of this engine?
I think it must have come from a kit, machined-or-not.
I added a video of it running from a Jensen 30 and some still pix.

Thanks,
Wayne

Wayne, that's a very nice engine. As far as make or model, I have no idea but I wouldn't mind having one.
The Jensen boiler didn't seem to have a problem running it. A valve would be nice to slow it down.
Try running a belt to the governor.

I believe that you have a slightly modified Maxwell Hemmens (Precision Steam Models) horizontal mill engine.
Excellent runner, thanks for sharing the video.
