I purchased an aquarium air valve on Ebay and hooked it
into my steam system. It is made of stainless steel and
looks good. I added a photo and link to a similar listing.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/403286654291 The seller also offers one with a threaded end. I sent an
email asking what 'thread' it is and plan to make a better
looking and stronger setup using it.
I've also added a short video using it while running my
mill(?) engine off a Jensen 30. The valve works perfectly but
it gets hot, so I will need to make a little wooden handle to
go over the valve handle.
I know the video is a bit choppy, but it does demonstrate
the Jensen 30 as a 'steam supplier', the mill engine as a
good runner (w/governor), and the valve as a new go-to that
works.
