This showed up on Monday. It was on eBay.UK and I got it for half of the BIN price. Seller didn't
really know what it was but said it doesn't run, just a toy. It really caught my eye and looked
like it was made from actual parts so I gambled on it.
First of all it's heavy, 5lbs, 3oz. The boiler is 8 1/2" long and it's 12 1/4" high to the top of
the stack. It's all steel, iron, and some brass. This thing is built like a brick
house. Everything moves freely, the piston is solid not hollow. The connecting
rod was hitting on the flywheel axel where it comes through the eccentrics so the sleeve had to be moved
in and now it's fine. The horizontal and vertical part of the boiler is one big chamber. You'll see
a picture where there is a blue squiggly line showing what's all connected. The orange line is where
the bottom is inside. It does run on air. Steaming it would take a lot of time and gas to bring it up to steam.
See the pictures and the video. I hope you enjoy it.
