We had a big day with the Alamo Roundup Parade; a Tour of the Alamo; a visit to Paris Hatters; a boat ride on the River Walk and dinner at the Mariachi Bar.

Interesting video content - never knew you could ride a longhorn. And I'll bet this is a trip Danny and his wife will never forget - well done Charlie.

Larry

Thanks Gil, Larry and Nick!

We put out our camp chairs in a prime spot at 9:30 am for the 11am parade start. We had a comfortable spot to view the parade. It was really fun.

Sadly, today was the last day of the Cabin Fever 2020 Road Trip.

We departed San Antonio at 6:30 am this morning and arrived at Scott’s house at 9:30 am. We were greeted with 5 steam engines running!  Scott and Stacie made the last day of the trip memorable.

A big thank you to Scott and Stacie for their hospitality.

After a few hour visit, I dropped Danny and his wife at the Houston Airport for their flight home. 😢. I then drove the 200 miles to Plano and made it in time for the Super Bowl.

4800 miles and the end of an Epic Road Trip!

I did manage to make a short video.  The video only captures a small portion of Scott’s incredible collection.  I hope you enjoy it.

The End!

Nice to see you there, Scott.!

A big thank you, Charlie, for bringing us along for the ride.

What a great adventure!

Danny and Myriam, meeting the two of you was a real treat.

It was an honor to hang out with the 3 of you for a few days.
Following your post Cabin Fever road trip via this thread had the effect of extending the time we spent together.

Awesome!

Wow, what a great time Stacie and I had yesterday.  A little steam, a little food and many laughs and fun stories.

Danny and Myriam are alot of fun and Stacie has a new "Dr. Pepper" soda friend in Danny.  I hope you made it home to Belgium w/o too much trouble.

Sorry no video of our guests but this video was shot minutes before they arrived.  I guess I got busy meeting and greeting all the while keeping a eye on 5 engines on live steam.  Charlie did a much better job of capturing a little bit of the day.

And major thanks to the host with the most Charlie.  A trip for the ages, but I hope they come back soon!

Charlie, that takes major... guts... to ride those longhorns.  Great video!

Hey... I never got to see Danny's hat.  I liked his belt.

Also sounded like a great visit to the Alamo.

Thanks again!
Scott

Thank you Jan.

Today was a recovery day. I didn’t know what to do with myself.

I did make a replacement piston on my lathe utilizing my tutorial from Danny. 🤠
