Best guess is that it is a standard rubber impeller pump, often referred to as Jabsco pumps in the maritime world.
Very efficient pumps, as long as they arenīt allowed to run dry.
Impellor looks brass to me

A handsome outfit, so this is a water pump , an air turbine, an air pump ??? I don't think I understand quite yet.
