I got in my donor B30 in today and took off the bottom: mounting plate, iron cover, and heater blanket. Before I did all that I test to see what the resistance was and got a good ~35ohms. Move it over to my B35 and insured I didn't have any shorts to the base/tank and doubled check the resistance. All Good on the Transplant!
The red thumb knob came over to. The whistle stack kind of a bust, fits very loosey-goosey and I don't get any whistle - just a bunch of steam shooting up - boo!
Here is a YouTube where the B35 is running the B47 Ferris Wheel! I have to really let it build up some steam before she'll move it again, which in the video you can hear her slowing down. Never the less, super fun.
New power cord will be here tomorrow (using a jerry-rigged one now).
Now what to do about the whistle stack.... ugh.
