ID Steam Power House
« on: October 15, 2023, 08:40:37 am »
I was wondering if anyone could ID this Power House and give a idea on its worth.  My brother asked me to check into this a bit ago and I completely forgot about it.  It seems he likes it but not sure if he should buy it.  Not really my cup of tea but it is interesting.

Just now seeing this Richard. A couple of the tools look like Ernst Plank but I've never seen anything like it in EP catalog reprints or in other catalogs. Is it your brother's? Brent

I believe he wants it to be his... I don't recall how he came about the photos that he took.  He is always out and about for his work (picking up/dropping off Ford Model A's).

Looks like it could well be original and rather old too. Never seen the like myself, but it has the "feel" of an original European creation to me.

Does appear to be missing some tools (3?) from the upper story.

Wisdom is the domain of the Wis (which is extinct). Beauty is a French phonetic corruption of a short cloth neck ornament currently in resurgence..."

I think you are correct, it is missing something up top and I bet different tools.  I saw a smaller Ernst Plank workshop - same kind of design and at least the drill press seems to be the same design.  Also the lathe look like Ernst Planks - though they are missing bits too on their decks.
