Used Jensens
« on: May 03, 2025, 04:37:01 am »
When I go out to our favorite auction site, I often see used Jensens for sale that are missing the safety valve, or whistle, or both.  Even from engines that look in great shape otherwise.  Does anybody know what this is all about?

And please, don't bring up the Hokey Pokey  :-)

I suppose it's like any object with removable pieces, usually it's the chimneys that seem to go into never never land. if its not firmly fixed to the object, why then it has a greater chance of being removed & misplaced.

Chimneys and burners are the first to wander off it seems, followed closely by whistles and safety valves, or so my experiences have told me!

Sadly those engines often end up being very expensive in the long run unless you have the parts to complete them.

The good news is you can get all the whistles and safety valves you need from Jensen.

Nah...parts are readily available here in the states, new or used. A Jensen can be used as a barn owl perch for 30 years & then be made to run in 30 minutes usually.
