Wilesco Whistle Extension Mod
« on: April 28, 2021, 07:34:48 pm »
Simple Wilesco Whistle Extension Mod turned from brass, male and female threads are 5mm.
It was too irritating not being able to unscrew the whistle because the black plastic valve handle would come up against something.
Lifting it this amount lets it be able to wound out and be taken out easily.

Neat solution, but you need the spring lever whistle from Wilesco on there... sounds great and much more fun to use!

Cheers Nick and Bruce, I have some of those whistles spare in both silver and brass.

Wilesco really cheaped out with those plastic valve handles, what was the saving for them 5c? I'd pay an extra $10 for them to come with the older metal style.
I suppose the Wilesco bean counters did the maths and worked out that it was 'good' for the company.
