New Acquisition Doll 360/3 Marine Engine Ex UK
« on: February 05, 2022, 09:15:52 pm »
Seems to be complete and in working order, including the original instructions in three languages. It will need some clean up, touch up, and perhaps a clear coat to preserve and prevent any further flaking.

I like thisDoll ship's engine very much. The twin cylinder is a good runner, a bit rough, but very convincing. And so good to get a bit of history with all the papers.

The exhaust is probably not original, but if this is the only problem...

Looking forward to see it running!

Great engine and the condition is very good as Doll's go--they often tend to have more paint loss than this one, especially on the bases.

You may want to consider utilizing some spray on car wax to preserve the paint.

I have found this to be an excellent protectant.

This engine needed a full disassembly, cleaning, repairs and re-finish. Work is progressing.

I have often thought of a getting a ships style engine. That's one not in the collection.
You have a nice looking one there, will be watching your progress.
