Just to clarify for those who may not know ....
Yes, April 19th , 1775
250 years ago, last evening, Paul Revere (and others) took the famous ride, After receiving the signal from the tower of the old North Church ... One if by land and two if by sea! As of today, the Brits were marching to Concord where there was a Colonial Supply Depot, to confiscate all the Colonist's guns and munitions. But along the way at Lexington, they ran into that village's militia paraded on the village green, whence "The Shot Heard Around the World" was fired to initiate the Revolutionary war!!!
I believe it was the Lexington Militia leader, Captain John Parker, who uttered the famous words, " Stand your ground and do not fire unless fired upon! But if they mean to have a war .... let it begin here!!!"
