Quality Time Ahead
« on: March 15, 2019, 03:35:34 pm »
Been wondering why no streamingservices over here, be it Netflix, HBO or their "siblings", will show any of the older classic television series?

Might be me getting old, but i actually enjoy quite a few of them, as they´re so easy to watch...especially in multitasking situations where only "half an eye" is available.

Anyway, for the next many hours i should be well set now, as i just took a historical backwards leap and purchased 56 dvd´s  8)

I really like the "Little House on the Prairie", I was just trying to look it up on Hulu the other day but unfortunately it is unavailable, we dropped our cable about a year ago and haven't looked back since, although I do miss "Everybody Loves Raymond".
I have watched all "the Andy Griffith show" episodes probably three or four times each.
and I own all of "The Waltons" DVDs that are available.

Jan, seems you have similar tastes at least to Bruce and I.  Love the old classics like Little House.  56 DVD's should keep you out of trouble for awhile.

Wholesome viewing you've got there Jan .... something that is hard to find today from what little exposure I've had to commercial television. Pretty much unplugged back in the early 70's and haven't missed much if what little bits I see at friends houses from time to time is any indication.

Great old show you've got there Jan - I get to see snippets of it as I wander in and out of my wife's sewing room as that and the Waltons are her current favorites. I'm still working my way through all the British mystery shows like Midsomer Murders, Morse, Inspector Lewis and some of the narrowboat vlogs on Youtube and Vimeo - and then there are all the railroad DVDs that I've watched a dozen times. All good clean stuff compared to much of the current trash.
