But half of them must be nuts and screws 😂

I think you have to take over the construction
management or at least stand aside as a helper.
Good luck ;D

He doesn’t like his picture taken so never really smiles, but he was proud of his progress on Day 1

Step 1:

Step 2:

Parts from Step 1 & 2 screwed together. This probably took a good half an hour (maybe longer) and was all built by himself, I was just there to make sure he was doing it right  ;)  To get this far used 44 pieces and he had had enough for the day… if he keeps up at this rate, it should only take 52-1/2 days/sittings to complete  :D

Haha, he actually enjoyed building it for a good half an hour or so. I was only there making sure the right parts were used and sometimes to help hold the screws in place while he put the nuts on.

Steps 4-6 completed this evening. They are the same as 1-3, just the opposite side. We did better tonight, half an hour of work vs the 45 minutes it took yesterday to build the same piece. He’s getting better doing the nuts and screws on his own and wanted to keep going, but it was bedtime.

He asked to work on Step 7 by himself this morning, so I let him without checking his work till it was complete. I heard him get mad and slam his fist on the table when he realized he had put a few screws in the wrong holes  :D  But in the end and another half hour, this part was complete. The previous 2 parts will bolt onto this and then it should start to look like something…

Steps 8 & 9 completed today. Step 9 (black pieces) was difficult for him as it used multiple screw sizes. Another half hour into the project and 41 more pieces together.
