Kelmar Pow'r house
« on: February 10, 2020, 08:46:20 pm »
Here are the three Kelmar Pow'r house rides that are in my collection.

Swing ride

Ferris wheel

Airplane Whirl

The original Airplanes were in bad shape so I made some new ones.

Cool toys Bill  8)  I like the reversing of the swings in the video.

Have not heard of these before... Did you buy them pre-built or did you find some old kits?

I see there is a very nice kit on ebay right now, I'll have to watch for a "rough" set...

Nice videos ! Thanks for posting them. I have a un-built Kelmar Pow'r house unit from about 1946. It's interesting to see to see the accessories in action.

Nick, it looks like you've found most of the info I have on the Kelmar product line.
Here is what the content of my Sky ride box look like

The original Airplanes, some had warped wings, probably sat in some hot attic for many years.

The instructions, very thin paper.

The airplanes that I made from thin ply worked pretty well.

These are the kind of accessories that really appeal to me - they take me back to my boyhood dreams (didn't have any money back then either). Very nice!

Very nice Bill , I am very impressed that your little hot air engine can run that Ferris wheel, those normally can barely pull themselves. I have that same South Bend lathe & Delta floor drill press in about the same layout as you do...lol

Great accessories. Do you have your own laser cutter (airplanes)?

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the comments.

Yes, I have a laser cutter somewhere, pretty sure it's buried under a pile steam related stuff right now. :)

Bruce I like the little South Bend pretty well, I've noticed yours quite often in you videos.
The little hot air engine is real go'er.
