A Big Boy Toy!
« on: July 30, 2020, 11:55:22 am »
I am a minority owner of a leasing company. We specialize in short term leases of large Excavation Equipment.

I had the opportunity to purchase a CAT D6T for the depreciated book value.

Our leasing company has owned it since it was brand new and we do all of our own service and repair.

It is a 2014 CATERPILLAR D6T XW CRAWLER DOZER: CAB, A/C, CAT C9.3 ACERT 229 HP DIESEL ENGINE, 6-WAY STRAIGHT BLADE, 30" SBG, 3 POCKET MSR, FRONT SWEEPS, REAR SCREEN and has 8300 hours on it.

I always wanted one....so, I bought it. 🤠

I don't think that is what the wife meant when she said prune the trees in the back yard .

LOL Dennis!

When I told my wife that I bought it she asked me why. I replied, “because I can”. 🤠

Bonjour Charlie,
A little bit too large for my flat  ;)
A friend of mine works with such tools and his hobby consists in... driving his replica !

Wow, Charlie..!!!

That is a very large toy!

Running a toy that big will make a man feel very powerful and believe me, you are very powerful in a rig like that.

Wishing you great enjoyment as you hone your operating skills!

I went with a friend to northern MN to look at 3 small dozers a few years back... that part of the state is all trees, but all three houses we stopped at had perfectly flat yards without a single tree  :D  I guess I know why they were selling them  :D :D

Wow its only 6 years old.
If I had the storage space... And the money... I'd have a few more engines.
