Australians in Action - Vietnam War

This would have been early in the war as most of the troopers still have the FN SLR 7.62mm and 9mm Owen submachine guns.

Damn hell hole glad i didn`t have to go there, God bless those that did.
I stayed state side and was a crew chief on F4 Phantoms 72-76.

Late 60's until 71 I was in college and part of that time I was working the night shift at FMC helping build M113 personnel carriers as shown a couple of times there in your video. Just a machinist's helper, on the burr bench mostly, though I did do some drill, ream and tap type operations on transmission and steering clutch housings and other such things as well.

Australia had the F4's as well Lenn before going over to the F111's

The F4's are still a great looking fighter.
