Speaking of the thievery and scammers, this was posted the other day by our local police department

I just want to make you aware of a situation that just happened at my house this morning in Stewartville. A person knocked on our door stating they worked for the CDC and needed to walk through our house and check if we had the coronavirus. She stated she needed to walk through all the rooms. Luckily my husband, Brian, was home and answered the door. He knew it was a scam from the beginning and told her no I want to see your ID. She then stated she didn’t need to show him ID and that he could be arrested if he didn’t comply. So Brian said let’s call the cops then. He did call the cops as she turned and walked to her car and Brian followed her and reported her license plate number. The cops stated this is what was happening in the Twin Cities and they recently started getting a few reports in Rochester, but this was the first case reported in Stewartville. Wanted to make you aware so you can inform family members of this type of scam that is happening.
