"If we don't continue to suppress the deer population we are going to get more occurrences like this," he said. "The hardest thing to deal with is that there is a Bambi factor. Unfortunately people don't have an understanding of the impact deer have."
I don’t think I know a single person around here that hasn’t hit at least one deer with a car.
A quick check on google shows there are between 950,000 and 1 million deer in MN, and hunters take about 150,000 each year
Deer are everywhere, even NYC. Dutchess county in New York is especially overrun,
and many of the deer have Lyme disease ticks on them. I hit one, my father
a couple, and my mother had one jump in the passenger window WHILE
DRIVING 40MPH. Another friend hit one while riding his motorcycle. He
wound up under the bike AND deer. Nasty exhaust pipe burn, but alive.
Always a possibility when driving in the country.
But, to be sure, they are pretty creatures here for our viewing pleasure.
Just wish they would not get so frisky with each other and lower the #'s.

My great-grandparents lived in the middle of town, one day great-grandpa was sitting on the couch having his coffee and a cigarette... a deer came crashing through the picture window, ran right by him, bumped him and kicked his coffee cup and ran back out the broken window. My great-grandma said she was in the other room wondering what he had done now, thought he’d blown half the house up from the noise

She went in to find him still sitting on the couch, broken coffee cup handle in his hand and a crooked cigarette hanging out of his mouth
