I had the lower part for years but missing the top so we made one.
Got one of those somewhere as well Lenn, I think the idea was to be using one and have one heating on the stove and interchange them to the wooden handle.
Much like changing batteries now on a portable tool
Your right Jim, with our cook stove we don`t need such a thing but they are cool.
How about those nice finger prints on the side where i picked it up before the paint was dry.
Wow...I didn't pick up on them being fingerprints but now they are blinking as them....bet that was an ouch moment!
Naw it was before it was hot thank goodness..
I have a sad iron that has a lift gate in the end that ya put a slug in that`s pre- heated that should be cool.
Went out and put a Mica window in it.

I never knew that they had the heating contraption part and its very interesting to see.
Nice work, Lenn. I got Simone a little kerosene parlor stove that is set up with 2 sad irons (one handle).
I will look for a picture when I get a chance.
Thanks guys, sounds cool Gill would like to see it.
That’s a tough way to get wrinkles out of your clothes Lenn.
And the finger prints in the paint give it character. 🤠
Thanks Charlie, i did repaint it now.
