Thanks for the vid Lenn, looks like it does a fine job that one.
I really like it, and will consider setting up something similar, if my present dream of a dedicated combi planer doesnīt come through soon.
However, with the risk of being named the do-gooder of the month here...
To me the risk of it spitting out a piece of wood is definitely there, should a really hard point in the wood or even a hidden ingrown nail come up, so please do remember to keep the "line of fire" clear.
I would consider adding some adjustable "feather boards" to hold/steer the workpiece, thereīs some fancy ones available at Amazon i believe, and (whenever possible) use a push stick when handling the workpiece from the feeding side.
