Bonjour,
My passion was born... 47 years ago but really began to come to life only 18 years ago for my fiftieth birthday.
As a Parisian teenager, a store made me dream with a replica of a real diesel tugboat, the "Côte d'Emeraude", but equipped with a Stuart D10 assembly.
At the time, there was no choice, so I bought the wooden kit and built it in my bedroom! Impossible to buy the steam kit, sold at the price of a Rolls-Royce for me.
My drama, my first flirtations forced me to get rid of my construction to leave some space for my girlfriends.
Time passed and I did few things away from steam, without ever forgetting this boat and I earned a decent living.
For my fiftieth birthday, my wife told me “treat yourself without restraint, life is short and you must not die on your pile of gold”.
Serious mistake, shortly afterwards there was still an annual model show in Paris at the time and there I met the manufacturer JMC to whom, without thinking, I gave a nice sum of money as a deposit so that he helps me make my first steamboat with his help.
I didn't hesitate, I took him a complete three-cylinder steam engine, with whistle!
I named it “Liva1” in honor of my lady.
From that moment on I constantly bought boats hoping to one day find a Côte d'Emeraude, which finally happened and which only amplified my pleasure of discovering new things and sharing them.
The Hit & Miss motors are a complement that satisfy my curiosity for mechanics.
