shine or not to shine??
« on: March 02, 2021, 10:45:47 am »
Hi,Im painting a 3/4" Michael Holden traction engine in maroon and Im not sure about the shiny finish?
I think it looks a bit 'toy like' if you know what I mean?
I dont know weather to go over the lot in satin enamel or just the black?
Any suggestions please?
Thanks
Terry

A judicious overspray with a clear semi-gloss might make it look some better, but regular use will go a long way to knocking the gloss back as well.

Given time and use, it won't stay shiny for very long.
