Yes I was going to follow the plans but will take on board your concerns and solution, I was aware of the outboard support issues especially around stability and alignment.
My initial idea was to place both the main body and support on a heavy metal common base attached to a wooden base, eg steel or brass plate, but I will certainly look at all options.
